Crabtree's Kittle House Restaurant & Inn

We celebrated our daughter's birthday at their restaurant. Our daughter's husband Bradford, made the arrangements for Dec. 24, her birthday and for an early dinner. Our group of 6 adults and 4 grandchildren enjoyed the festive ambience during the Christmas holiday and the live music was soft and enhanced our celebration. The staff was very attentive and the food was delicious. The appeal of the property is well deserved and we look forward to more family events there.

Overpriced for the stay tbh. The rooms themselves are adorable looking but the quality of things are poor. 1st and foremost I had a balcony connected to my room (which another room had access to as well & a ladder to floor level). The door did not have a lock, only a little latch that did not keep the door completely closed. The screen door also did not latch. The main door also had a lock that barely latched. The first night I could not get any sleep as I was so nervous someone was going to come in one of the doors. The bed is SO INCREDIBLY HARD as well as the pillows. I woke up with knee, back, neck, hip pain. Some of the outlets do not work. You can't put the TV up past a whisper. You can't control the heat, so I was sweating at night, I had to turn on the AC to counter act the heat. Wound up getting a sore throat. The breakfast is decent. The ladies/ staff were very nice. Overall, I would NOT recommend this place. A motel would probably be more comfortable as far as getting some rest

I found this Inn randomly online while searching for places that were pet friendly. I am so happy I located it ! My room was absolutely adorable ! I traveled alone, never felt nervous or uncomfortable in the Inn or the surrounding neighborhood. I took my dog for a walk all around the grounds to explore. The surrounding neighborhood is gorgeous. I ordered room service and had a beautiful cheese spread and a very well cooked burger. In the morning, they had a small spread of breakfast items to choose from. Just enough to start the day and find a local restaurant if you needed more. The hotel itself is about 20 minutes from Sleepy Hollow and is a very easy and straightforward drive there. Some cons however, I was on the bottom floor and heard for majority of the night what sounded like someone moving food carts and lots of banging. Thankfully it stopped on its own but not for a few hours. I also will say, my personal opinion, the mattress needs to be replaced. It was hard as a rock and had no give to it and did not make for a very comfortable night. Will either of these stop me from revisiting? No!

I worked a wedding there this past weekend. Although that is a different experience I still received a great one when there. From the staff setting up downstairs, to the staff making sure their restaurant is perfect while open to the public. Everyone had a smile on their face. The rooms upstairs were well kept and spacious, great for photos! Would highly recommend!

I was beyond excited for this restaurant. It started super well with a generous beet salad and my husband chose the pork belly (delicious). Entrees took a turn for the worse. My duck dish was simply bland. The premise of sprouts, lardons, and mushrooms had me salivating but it was meh. We looked for staff to help us but the entire brigade was in the parking lot unpacking a food delivery. We waited at least 15 minutes and asked to swap the dish. The Maître d' did the right thing and let me substitute it, but by that time the energy had left the room. Servers were more concerned with preparing for future tables. In the time we were waiting we looked up and noticed the ceiling tiles were stained from water damage. We were hoping to find a real gem that none of our friends in CT had heard of but I think the place is relying on weddings. If you want to charge for fine dining, pay attention to detail.
